some background...
Science is my passion, particularly biology. I have always loved knowing that science is applicable to the world outside of school. Another reason why I love science is that it is always changing. As humans, we are curious by nature and science provides an opportunity to be curious about the world around us for our entire lives. Teaching is another passion of mine. Being able to share my knowledge with others helps me grow as an educator and also fuels my curiosity to learn. This year I hope that you learn to be curious about the world around you as well as recognize how science relates to your everyday lives.
I'm excited to see what I learn from you all this year! A little more...
I grew up in Windsor, Colorado and just recently moved out here to Wiggins. I have a very large family, and I really enjoy spending as much time with them as I can. I went to the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology. In college I was also a two sport athlete. I ran both cross country and track, with my main event in track being the steeplechase. I absolutely loved competing in sports in college, even though it was challenging.
I did my student teaching at Franklin Middle School in Greeley. There I taught 6th grade Earth Science and 7th grade Life Science. |
